I'm the person with at least five books on the nightstand and one on audio in the queue. What I pick up depends entirely on my mood (and what I'm needing) — and it only takes reading a few sentences back to catch the thread, or rewinding a minute to find where the author was headed.
Audio — Terry Tempest Williams, The Hour of Land
Book 1 — Terry Tempest Williams, The Glorians
Books 2 & 3 — Martha Wells, Network Effect & System Collapse
Book 4 — Mary Oliver, Devotions
We just moved into a new home. The boxes are unpacked, but a lot of stuff is still, well, everywhere. The biggest eyesore? Artwork leaning against the walls. I don't know how it happened, but this place seems to have less wall space than anywhere we've lived before. I'll need to get creative.
Lately I've been sitting with a paradox: how do I grow beyond my current capacity for binary thinking and feeling? Some days it feels easy — oh yeah, I can do this, go me! And other days it feels downright impossible, like my feelings are sitting there arms crossed, saying "nope, not gonna move." Sigh. I'll give it another shot next time around.
